WKU FCA ministers to the campus of Western Kentucky University under the leadership of WKU Football Chaplain and Campus Director, Reverend Wayne Dickens. Before WKU, Dickens served as the Area Director for East Alabama FCA for ten seasons. While he enjoyed serving this area, God has given Wayne a strong desire and calling for the souls of college athletes, and is thrilled that He has chosen him for this amazing role. Wayne is a native of Lakeland, Florida and a graduate of Auburn University in 2005. He was also a four-year letterman and starter on the 2004 Undefeated Auburn football team.
Wayne and his wife Stacey have been married since 2009. Stacey has worked alongside Wayne since 2012 helping him build the ministry with her expertise in communications, and by mentoring young female athletes. Stacey graduated from Auburn University in 2007 with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in International Studies.
Wayne and Stacey both encountered Jesus like never before while in college at Auburn University. In fact, Wayne received Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior at an FCA College retreat that his Football Chaplain invited him to attend. In the same way that this Chaplain had such an amazing impact on Wayne and Stacey's life, they intends to have the same impact on college students and athletes at WKU by the power of Jesus Christ!
Wayne and Stacey have three children: daughter Naomi, son Cannon and son Duke.
